A representative display features the works of the best contemporary creators of Nativity scenes in the Czech Republic. It is held on the occasion of the 800th anniversary of the first Nativity scene created by St. Francis of Assisi in Greccio, Italy, in 1223. The exhibition takes place in the Klementinum, where the first Nativity scene was created in the Czech lands in 1562 and where the Jubilee Manger Scene Exhibition was organized in 1923. The accompanying programme includes guided tours, visitors can watch creators of the Nativity scene during their work, and children have the opportunity to create their own Nativity scene or perform a puppet show.
