RULES AND REGULATIONS
  • more then 5000 music manuscripts - period copies as well as autographs, mainly from the 18th, 19th and 20th century
  • about 110 000 vols. of printed music from the 18th century to the present
  • more than 400 letters of famous composers and musicians
  • so called Mozart Memorial which was established in the library in 1837 and became the first Mozarteum in the world. It contains a valuable collection of historically significant copies and first editions of Mozart's works
  • large collection of Czech and foreign language musicological literature, journals and other materials (ca 9300 v.)
  • about the Holdings of the Music Department
  • the Department provides information on all aspects of music and musicology
  • the non-circulating collection of primary musical sources, secondary literature and reference tools may be studied in the reading room
  • photocopying is available upon request
  • access to specialised music and musicological databases
