The Digitisation of Historical Manuscripts and Selected Early Printed Books

Since 2007, the Slavonic Library, in coordination with the Historical and Music Collections of the National Library of the Czech Republic, has gradually been digitising historical manuscripts and selected unique early printed books (published before 1800) from its collections. This technically and financially demanding activity is performed within the National Programme for the Digitisation of Rare Documents – Memoriae Mundi Series Bohemica (LPIS 6).

Digital copies of documents are accessible in the digital library of manuscripts and early printed books Manuscriptorium. Links to the digital copies form part of the cataloguing records in the online catalogue of the Slavonic Library (the SLK database) and in the Union Catalogue of the Czech Republic (the SKC database).
